Overview
At IGET, we’ve streamlined the process of resolving gaming and esports disputes into four stages.

Here's how it works:
Book an Orientation Meeting
When parties are involved in intellectual property, commercial or esports integrity disputes, IGET can offer procedural assistance to facilitate direct settlement between the parties or support them in submitting their dispute to IGET mediation or arbitration as an alternative to court litigation.
If you are unsure about where to get started or to receive more information on how IGET can help, you can book a complimentary online orientation meeting with IGET for guidance. During the meeting, you can receive information on how to use IGET dispute resolution services to address your dispute effectively.
While IGET provides information and procedural guidance to assist with dispute resolution, it does not offer legal advice or represent parties in any legal proceedings.

Apply
Once you are ready, you may lodge a complete application to IGET via the GET HELP button at the top right hand side of the IGET website.
Within three business days from receipt, we will:
- Check the application to ensure it is valid.
- Allocate the case to the appropriate division.
- Notify all parties involved in the dispute.
Preliminary Conference
Once your application is approved, we’ll schedule a preliminary conference to discuss the next steps of your dispute.
At the Preliminary Conference, we will cover:
- Confirmation of the parties chosen ADR (e.g., mediation, arbitration, expedited arbitration, or expert determination).
- Confirm case logistics, including:
- Estimate of how long the proceedings might take and the likely timeframes.
- Decision on the number of tribunal members needed for the case.
- Estimate of the total costs (application and service fees) for the proceedings.
Dispute Resolution
The chosen dispute resolution method will then move forward.
- Parties will submit their evidence and make their submissions.
- We will distribute all relevant documentation and schedule a hearing if required.
Resolve & Close
Once the dispute is resolved, we will close the case and provide the necessary documentation. Your case is officially closed, and the resolution will be clearly communicated to all parties. In most cases, we will publish a deidentified result in our decision register (removing the party names and attributing generalised language to the facts - e.g. Publisher vs. Team - Dispute about prize money allocation).
